Tinman Itinerary Manager ("the app") is a trip itinerary app published by Riley Janik. This policy explains what information the app handles and who can see it. In short: your trip information stays on your device and in your own iCloud account. We do not run servers, we do not collect your data, and we do not track you.
The app stores the details you add so you can use them later, including:
This information is stored on your device. We do not receive a copy of it.
The app uses Apple's iCloud (CloudKit) to keep your trips in sync across your devices and to let you share a trip with people you invite. Your data is stored in your own iCloud account and is governed by Apple's terms and privacy policy. We cannot see or access it.
When you invite someone to a trip, they can view it or edit it depending on the permission you choose. Anyone you share a trip with will see everything in that trip, including traveler names, booking codes, and barcodes. You can change or remove access at any time from the Share Trip screen. If you share a trip, the other people keep a synced copy on their own devices until they leave the trip or you stop sharing.
If you use the "Add to Itinerary" share action to bring in a ticket, boarding pass, screenshot, or PDF, the file is read and interpreted on your device only. It is not uploaded to us or to any other service. The app's Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets and its Live Activity show your upcoming itinerary items. The information they display is passed between the app and those features on your device and is not sent anywhere else.
The app offers optional in-app purchases. They are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment details or Apple ID. The app checks with Apple, on your device, whether you have made a purchase so it can unlock the features you paid for.
The app asks for your location only when you tap "use current location" while adding an item, and to show your position on the trip map. Location is used only while the app is open. When you search for a place or address, or when the app works out a time zone from a location, the text or coordinates are sent to Apple's mapping services to return results. We do not receive or store this information.
The camera is used only if you choose to scan a ticket barcode. The photo library is used only for images you select. Images are processed on your device and are saved in the app and, if iCloud sync is on, in your iCloud account. The app does not upload them anywhere else.
If you set a reminder with an alert, the app asks permission to send notifications. Reminders are scheduled locally on your device and are not sent through any server of ours.
If you install the app through Apple's TestFlight, Apple may collect crash reports and any feedback you choose to send, under Apple's own privacy policy. We may receive that feedback and use it only to improve the app.
The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
You can delete any item or trip inside the app. Deleting a trip you own removes it from your iCloud account. Deleting the app removes the data stored on that device. You can manage iCloud data for the app in your device's Settings under your name, then iCloud.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date.

These terms are an agreement between you and Riley Janik ("we" or "us") about your use of Tinman Itinerary Manager ("the app"). By downloading or using the app, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on Apple devices that you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial trip planning, subject to the usage rules in Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions. Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to your use of the app. If these terms and Apple's agreement conflict, Apple's agreement controls on the points where they conflict.
The app is a personal organizer. It is not a travel agency, booking service, or airline, and it does not book, change, or cancel anything for you. The details in the app are what you enter or import. Details that the app detects automatically from a shared ticket, screenshot, or PDF, such as dates, flight numbers, titles, and confirmation codes, are best guesses and may be wrong. Always check them against your booking confirmation. Schedules, gates, and times can change, so confirm important details with the airline, hotel, venue, or other provider.
Reminders, notifications, widgets, and Live Activities depend on features of iOS that we do not control. They can be delayed, missing, or out of date, for example because of your device settings, Focus modes, Low Power Mode, or connectivity. A Live Activity is refreshed when you open the app and may show an earlier item until you do. Barcode scanning at a gate or door is not guaranteed to work, and some tickets use codes that change and cannot be saved in advance. Do not rely on the app as your only way to make a flight, train, or event. Keep your original tickets and the provider's own app available.
You keep ownership of everything you enter into the app. You are responsible for your content and for having the right to store it, including information about other travelers. We do not receive your content, as described in our Privacy Policy, and we do not claim any rights to it. Your trips are stored on your device and in your iCloud account. We cannot guarantee that your data will always be available or recoverable, for example if it is deleted, if iCloud has a problem, or if a device is lost, so keep your own copies of anything important.
You can invite other people to view or edit a trip. When you do:
When using the app, including shared trips, you agree not to:
The app relies on services from Apple, including iCloud, Apple Maps, the App Store, and TestFlight. Your use of those services is subject to Apple's terms and policies, and we are not responsible for their availability or for how they operate.
The app, including its name, icon, design, and code, belongs to us and is protected by law. These terms give you a license to use the app, not ownership of it. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them to improve the app without owing you anything.
The app is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not promise that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or accurate, or that any itinerary information, time, reminder, or notification it shows will be correct or arrive on time. Some places do not allow certain disclaimers, so some of this may not apply to you.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, missed or changed travel, lost bookings, or extra costs, arising from your use of the app or from relying on the information in it. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid us through the app, if any, in the 12 months before the claim. Some places do not allow these limits, so some of this may not apply to you.
You can stop using the app at any time by deleting it. Your iCloud data stays in your iCloud account until you delete it, as described in the Privacy Policy above. We may change, suspend, or discontinue the app or any of its features at any time. If you break these terms, we may end your license to use the app.
We may update these terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted here with a new date. If you keep using the app after a change, you accept the updated terms.
